He feels his heart twist in half, filled to breaking point with so much love and need that he doesn't know what to do with himself, and his eyelids are tremoring, a little, as the tears begin to come.

He nods through it all. He finds Poe's left hand, and he laces their fingers together, leaning down to press his lips to his ring finger. ]

[ He lets go. Breathes out. Tries to stay steady, but just thinks of how badly he wants his mom to meet Poe. One day. ]
