Maybe... buy me... a TV show? Oh! Wait. Get me a taxi? A bright yellow car would be pretty fun to have.
Wait, don't do that. Cars are scary horses that you get stuck inside of while they make loud noises. I wouldn't trust myself taking care of one all by myself.
Umm.
Uhh.
New York has pigeons, right?

I do have a lot of pets, though... I just love birds so much. Pigeons are so cool. I wish I could live in the sky with all the birds in the whole wide world and we'd fly together and be free. I'd make them divebomb so many people.
Maybe just surprise me? I like things with glitter. It can't be hard to find a glittery thing in New York.

Can I... get you something in return? A souvenir for a souvenir.

Can I come to New York with you? Wait, no, that doesn't make sense. Ugh.
Okay, wait. Tell me a place you want to go. I'll go there. And bring you back, like. A brick. From a building.
And be like, yo! Here's some fundamental material that makes up the foundation of the place you like.

I wish I could show you Ylisse. I hope you'll get the chance to see it one day.
The Magnus Chance. Haha. Like Chase?
But yeah, okay. Don't worry, we've only screwed in your kitchen, like, twice.
I don't want to get in the way of family time, but we should actually set something up for Boston one day? That could be kind of cool, right? You and me and Peter and Annabeth and whoever else you wanna bring, checking out the old sights.
no subject
what's ylisse like?
no subject
I wanna see all of it. Everywhere that was important to you. Let's talk about it a little more seriously when you get back from New York? I'm kind of invested now.
Ylisse was a lot cleaner than America, I guess. Green fields everywhere, marble buildings, amazing architecture. Ylisstol, where I grew up, was the biggest city in the country. Our palace stood in the middle of it, surrounded by rows of houses and businesses. It was nice.
Sunny?
no subject
ylisse sounds really pretty... and different from boston. i'm a little embarrassed now. did it snow? what kind of animals were there? were people nice or mean and busy?
no subject
It snowed, yeah. All four seasons came on pretty strong, actually. Hot summers, cold winters, colourful springs, bright red autumns... it was paradisaical. Maybe that's just nostalgia talking, though.
I guess - in regards to what people were like - it depends on where we went? I travelled all over the country - most people made money through farming or crafts, so there were a lot of small, tight-knit villages filled with families and friends who would be super excited to have visitors, especially royalty like us. I experienced most of Ylisse how it was meant to be in the year or so we had after ending the war before I went to Nohr, and like, everyone was really kind and happy and calm and excited all at the same time. People liked sharing food with us and showing us their home town's specialty meal and just - stuff like that. It was nice.
But there were a lot of nobles in the Capital who read a lot of books and talked about posture and stuff like that. When I was a little kid, that was all I really saw? I got a lot of attitude because I always liked playing in the mud rather than studying and stuff. My parents were fine with it, but man, Aunt Maribelle.
She was super mad all the time because me and her kid would just wrestle and get all dirty trying to catch tadpoles and stuff in the lake behind the city.
Animals... I guess deer? Rabbits. Foxes. Dogs? Birds. Cats. Everything, really. I saw a whale once. That was pretty great.
no subject
maribelle sounds like a cow's name. the rest sounds amazing, though. no wonder you're so proud of your home world.
where the hel did you see a whale? was ylisstol by a coast?
no subject
Yeah! Well, not really. Uh. Jeez, how do I summarize this.
This one guy was basically leading this entire conquest against the entire northern hemisphere? Sort of. He was fucking up the country my dad was from. Then he tried to fuck up Ylisse. Also, he was secretly a good guy? It's this whole thing.
This other other country was mad at him because they were secretly bad guys and Ylisse waged war against him to stop his garbage and that other other country gave us a bunch of their ships and we went to the docks to travel the ocean and stop his invasion and.
There was a whale.
Aaaat the docks.
Big. Pretty. I liked it.

Am I hallucinating or did you say he was made out of dreams or something at one point? Because one of my powers is the ability to reshape dreams.
Maybe I can change his entire physical form to look like a dinosaur or something. That would be cool, right?
[ ... ]
Oh, and like, I guess I want to check him out, at some point. Or whatever.
Not because I need to do the stupid macho tough guy brother interrogation thing, 'cause I know you wouldn't date someone who isn't good for you and I trust you to make good choices when it comes to who you spend your time with, but.
I'm still a little uneasy, I guess. It's scary, knowing you're being vulnerable with someone. For someone.
Something. Maybe that's silly.
no subject
please don't reshape my dream boyfriend. i like his shape. he can also be sparkly flying pixie dust, which i already think is pretty cool.
it's not silly. and tbh that is giving me a lot of credit? i'm flying pretty much blind. maybe i'm one of those really shallow guys that just goes for looks, after all?
no subject
But you're inexperienced, not dumb.
I feel like you're good at seeing people as they are. It took a lot of time before I stopped assuming the best or the worst about someone based on surface level shades of them I built up in my head. I thought my parents were flawless and could do no wrong, I thought I was letting everyone down by not measuring up to them, etc etc etc etc. And like.
I don't know. I guess I'm just trying to say you're good at giving people chances, but you're also good at being firm when they do something you don't agree with? It took me a while to get to that level of self-assurance.
And maybe that's not infallible, maybe you're not always going to get it right, maybe being able to find balance in your relationships isn't enough to stop you from making mistakes or needing advice, but you're getting off on a better foot than I did. My first romantic entanglement was with Poe, so like.
I guess I just think you wouldn't be with someone who runs a high risk of hurting you because you're kind and strong enough to value both your time and theirs, and you've always been honest when things make you uncomfortable. You have been with me, at least.
no subject
thanks. and you're right that he has a lot more than looks going for him. i think, anyway.
what kind of thing is normal? when it comes to friends and boyfriends meeting and hanging out.
no subject
Is he even hot? I can't see it, tbh.
[ ruining the atmosphere ]
Of all the people to ask for suggestions on normal friendly friend meetup meetings, I'm probably the worst person to come to?
[ he bought alex weird toxic harlequin clothes when they first met. he fucked up magnus's tent, screaming as he swung a sword over his head. he and peter first met in person in fucking space after 2 months of talking over the phone and being too awkward to break the ice and hang out in person. honestly. ]
